The automotive industry has fallen behind the smartphone in terms of features and functionality because innovation is too slow, time-to-market is too long and there's very little software reuse. Dan Cauchy, Executive Director of Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) at The Linux Foundation, will discuss the benefits of adopting an open source approach, the impact on product development and provide an overview AGL milestones and the future roadmap.
